Contemplating Change

Artists' reception view (photo by Amena Sharmin, 2025).
The artists in Contemplating Change explore the uncertainties and possibilities that come with transformation, drawing from personal and collective experiences to reflect on change as both process and practice. In dialogue with Open Space’s recent Access Renovations, their works offer a powerful meditation on how adaptation, disruption, and renewal can shape our spaces, relationships, and ways of being.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, we invite you to drop by the exhibition during gallery hours, Wednesday through Saturday, from 12 to 5 pm, to experience the works and continue supporting local artists and artist-run centres. The exhibition runs until September 6, 2025.
Artists: Alison Shields, Farheen Haq, Gerry Ambers, Kosar Movahedi, Lajah Warren, Paolino Caputo, and Shawna Kiesman
