Join us for a celebration of Gabriola's own Tyrrell Clarke and her newest collection of paintings Creature Comforts.
A bold collection of her rich florals alongside her strong female portraits. Tyrrell has been making a splash on Gabriola for 7 years now, and dedicated to her painting practice for over 40 years. Her work has a strong spiritual voice and reflects a definite west coast aesthetic. Tyrrell has always been a strong voice for our arts community wherever she is, consistently attending and supporting arts events.
Her work is always evocative, full of narrative and embedded with both nods to modern art and her own distinct contemporary voice. Many of her paintings are rich with symbolism, often in the form of an animals, a bird, a cat, a horse. The connection and interdependence of human and nature laying a strong foundation.
