Beginning on Saturday Oct 28th, Midtowne gallery will present a show revolving around flora and fauna with an emphasis on detailed discovery. Inspired by the Canadian environment through personal work and commissions Dennis Budgen's paintings are distilled down to the key elements while not sacrificing the characteristics of the subject matter, whether it be Alberta badlands, the Canadian arctic or the Canada Parks. Doug Farries's richly coloured oil paintings display precision, engaging compositions and vibrancy. His new series explores domestic felines in moments of repose.
