Disrupted Narratives is the current visual arts exhibition at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre featuring work by Dorothy Doherty, and Olga Campbell and Jane McDougall.
Disrupted Narratives brings together the work of three artists who share a common vision, employing similar techniques and materials in their art.
The exhibition features artwork where layers of paper are adhered to wood panels and altered, distressed, abraded, and more. The pieces are worked and reworked until the desired aesthetic is achieved. To this end, the artworks in this exhibition include early works, as well as new works inspired by experimentation, time, and change. This exhibition presents the diversity of possibilities that can arise from a non-traditional approach with modern materials.
Everyone is welcome. The Opening Reception is open to the general public one day only. Otherwise, the only way to see the exhibtion is with a ticket to an event in the theatre.
