This solo show will consist of approximately 40 new paintings inspired by Dominik's wilderness expeditions and journeys across western Canada.
A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Dominik has devoted over 30 years to his professional career, capturing the essence of northern Canada's landscapes and venturing to the farthest reaches of the globe—from the majestic vistas of the Yukon to the remote wildernesses of Antarctica, Africa, and South America.
Through his expressive and bold impressionistic style, Dominik's paintings resonate with vibrant color harmonies and confident brushstrokes, inviting viewers to contemplate the fragile beauty of our planet's dwindling wilderness areas. Each artwork serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for environmental conservation and inspires a profound sense of responsibility towards our natural world.
The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of works, including large studio pieces that capture the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, Yukon and the West Coast, as well as fresh plein air paintings that encapsulate the raw beauty of the wilderness in its purest form. This new body of work represents a Dominik's lifelong dedication to celebrating and preserving the magnificence of our planet's most precious landscapes.
Join us as we celebrate the creativity and vision of Dominik Modlinski, and embark on a journey of discovery and reflection amidst the untamed beauty of the wilderness.
