Dominique Walker captures childhood wonder and outdoor play in her series Wildhood. The north shore has a backyard of mountains, streams and beaches for kids and families to explore.
“There is something magical that happens when you release children into natural environments…boredom evaporates, curiosity and discovery bloom,” says Walker.
This Wildhood series celebrates the amazing natural resource at our doorstep and the balance kids find in it.
Dominique teaches in the IDEA School of Design at Capilano University. She is the fourth generation of female landscape painters known as the Everard Group, whose work can be found in private collections worldwide. She is currently represented by Buckland Southerst Gallery in Dundarave.
