The exhibition combines Colleen Campbell’s 20-year career as a field biologist in Banff National Park with her lengthy career as an artist. Over an approximate ten-year period, Campbell and her associates tracked the patterns of bears along the eastern slopes of the Rockies. Recorded in striking renderings of graphite, watercolour and ink, her drawings detail the bears’ individuality and demonstrate the challenges they face in this increasingly high-traffic corridor.
