Organized by the Department of Art, in collaboration with Nickle Galleries at the University of Calgary
Embodied presents the work of four artists from the University of Calgary’s Graduating Master of Fine Arts class of 2017. Through drawing, sculpture, video, and painting the artists explore their relationships to their bodies as sites of inscribed social, cultural, and political meaning. Each artist provides an intimate look at the ways they negotiate and reconcile their sense of identity in relation to either gender, time, or place.
