Emily Hermant, "Slow Technology," 2019
‘Slow Technology’ opening this Thursday, March 7 from 5-7pm –
Slow Technology features the work of three BC-based female artists Kelsey Epp (Black Creek, BC), Emily Hermant (Vancouver, BC), and Ingrid Mary Percy (Victoria, BC) whose work examines themes of gender, knowledge-sharing and how technology affects our interactions and relationships. In their own way each artist explores the labour division in industry and the arts, the tradition and craft of textiles and where modern technology intersects these areas.
