Mayberry Fine Art presents TIME SHIFT - A collection of new works by Eric Ouimet.

We are thrilled to present a highly anticipated exhibition of new work by Winnipeg artist Eric Ouimet. Eric is well known for his nostalgic and stylized editions of Winnipeg-inspired architecture and culture. This new body of work brings that same signature style to large format one-of-a-kind panels.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

My objective with TIME SHIFT is to have the viewer experience the same location but at a different moment in time. The camera angle remains identical for each pairing, however, in the blink of an eye, you are brought forward seconds, hours, and even months.  From the season change of a prairie field to the landing of a jet on the tarmac, the challenge I gave myself was to have each piece stand on its own but also work in pairs for the show.  Once I ironed out the concept, I started sketching different scenes that would work best as contrasting pieces.  Architecture and open skies are often recurring themes in my work and TIME SHIFT is no exception.
