Tension between mental health and illness is investigated through art as means of making sense of the world. Madness is a repository for the forbidden. Volet’s work unearths this forbidden territory. The work explores the crossroads of the forbidden, madness, magic, and possibilities for social transformation. The process and resulting artworks form a praxis embodying possibilities for personal and transpersonal psychic and social transformation.
