F is for Fem will feature the work of Fem Assembly's artists: Christina Krentz, Kelly Isaak, Josefina Rodriguez, Mao Chen, Stephany Victorine, Sandra Lamouche, Samantha Charette, Diane McGeachy, Lili Yas Tayefi, Lex Hilderman, Wei Li, and Claudia Chagoya.
F is for Fem was created throughout a 6-month period. During this time, the artists gathered for monthly critiques that helped develop a cohesive body of work. The artworks reflect upon the impact of intersectional feminism on their identities, artistic practices and lives. The sum of these resulting artworks defy, subvert and/or resist historical contexts of oppression and amplify the importance of getting together as a community.
