With the change of seasons in full swing, it's time again for our annual Fall jewellery show. Each Fall for the past thirteen years, we've provided artists with an open-ended theme and asked them to create works of jewellery they would never have the opportunity to otherwise. The Fall jewellery show is all about enabling artists' creativity and pushing the Northwest Coast jewellery market forward with wholly unique pieces.
This year's show, titled Flourishing Forms: Flora in Northwest Coast Indigenous Jewellery, invites artists to depict plant species native to British Columbia and its surrounding areas, from ferns and cedar trees to blackberry bushes and fireweed. We've received an array of stunning pendants, earrings, rings, and bracelets from artists like Sharifah Marsden (Anishinaabe), Jody Sparrow (Musqueam), Jennifer Younger (Tlingit), Kelly Robinson (Nuxalk/Nuu-chah-nulth), and many more -- and we can't wait to share them all with you!
