The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford will open its new Emerge exhibition during a free public reception on Thursday March 23rd, 2017 at 6:00pm. Art on Demand 3.2 – Fragmented Self features the work of emerging Fraser Valley artists: Andrew Booth, Paige Caldwell and Amanda Vergara.
Curated by Emerge University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) Intern, Christina Billingham, Fragmented Self explores the idea of internal conflict and the disassociation it may lead to. The artists use bold imagery to demonstrate the raw emotion of alienation and fragmentation.
These exhibitions showcase the work of up-and-coming artists who are members of The Reach’s Emerge program. This important arts program, funded by the RBC Foundation, supports professional development for regional artists between the ages of 18-35.
Following the public Exhibition Opening Reception on March 23rd, Fragmented Self will show until May 7, 2017 at The Reach, 32388 Veterans Way. For more details, see www.thereach.ca
