AGSA, "Guilded: 20/20 Vision," 2020
Guilded: 20/20 Vision offers a glorious combination of faith and optimism for the future and shares the positive hopes and observations of a diverse collection of artists.
"The reality of 2020 has cast Guilded: 20/20 Vision in a whole new light”, says Emily Baker, Art Gallery of St. Albert Exhibition Assistant and Guilded Curator. “The unprecedented challenges we have all experienced in the wake of COVID-19 have changed all our lives. Despite that, the exhibit celebrates hope and optimism. It is a great way to unite the community."
Guilded is a time-honoured exhibition that highlights the work of The St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council (SAPVAC) members. This group includes the St. Albert Potters Guild, Painter’s Guild, Floral Art Society, Quilters' Guild and Paper Arts Guild. The artists among these groups are based in the visual arts wing of St. Albert Place.
This year's exhibition, Guilded: 20/20 Vision, once again includes a variety of stunning individual and collaborative works. Visit the Art Gallery of St. Albert's beautiful main gallery to view the pieces which showcase a wide variety of artistic talent among our community.
A virtual exhibition tour is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17 at 11am. A guided exhibition tour in the Gallery focusing on safe social distancing is scheduled for November 19 at 2pm.
