Gunpowder for the Mind explores the relationship between new and old, digital and analogue, image and text. Using a range of approaches to print media the work in this exhibition exemplifies this integrating of new and old within a work. Whether inspired by older techniques while remaining purely digital, to the incorporation of film, to reworking older images, the work in this exhibition epitomizes the diversity available in a printmaking art practice in both medium and message.
Featuring work by artists April Dean, Eric Hill, Caitlin Mullan, Rowan Pantel, and Robert Truszkowski, this exhibition explores contemporary printmaking techniques in the context of its historical and current uses of communication and fine art.
