Call for Artists: The HeART of Women’s Health – Art Meets Science
Are you a Calgary-based artist passionate about women’s health, storytelling, or advocacy through art?
We’re looking for artists to showcase their work at The HeART of Women’s Health: At the Intersection of Art and Science, a CIHR-funded Café Scientifique on May 25th, 2025 from 1–4 PM at cSPACE King Edward in Marda Loop and art exhibition (May 20 - Jun 2) in the cSPACE gallery.
This unique event will bring together art and science to raise awareness about women’s cardiovascular health—from menstruation to menopause and everything in between. We are seeking visual artists whose work speaks to the emotions, challenges, resilience, and lived experiences of women throughout their reproductive lifespan.

Art to be displayed from May20 to June 2 in cSPACE gallery

What we’re looking for:
• Visual art (paintings, photography, mixed media, illustration, textile, etc.)
• Pieces that explore women’s health, identity, body, heart health, or related themes
• Artists open to being part of a vibrant public dialogue that includes researchers, healthcare providers, and community members

• 1–3 images of your work (or a portfolio link)
• A brief statement (1 -2 sentences) on how your work could relate to women’s health and/or heart health
