i {heart} Brandon, 2021

Calling all Westman creatives! The Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba and Brandon Tourism are happy to invite Westman-based makers of all ages to submit a work of art to an open-call exhibition titled i {heart} Brandon in our community gallery. We want to know, what is it about Brandon that keeps bringing you back? Brandon is a special place to so many, and we want to hear how 'Brandon Brings you Back' using any medium of expression. Show your art and crafts for a chance to win some cash!

The AGSM will accept two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks in any media, at a maximum size of 2x 2 x 2 feet. Submitting is free, and all submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Three judges, representing the many facets of Brandon, will choose a winner from each of the following categories: adult (18+), teen (12-17), and youth (11 and younger). Winners will receive a prize of $500 each.

What’s more, the public will have a chance to vote on their favourite, with another $500 prize that will be awarded to audience choice!

The exhibition will be open to the public between March 29th and April 29th. Winners will be announced at a reception on April 22nd.To submit, please click the link on our website to fill out a form online, or you may fill out the form in person at the AGSM during regular business hours. Work will be accepted between March 8th and March 28th, 2021. Artists are responsible for transporting their artworks, and are permitted only one submission per person.
