Sought to use drawing as an ephemeral medium Jessica A. Morgun’s installation revolves around problematic nature of intangible losses incurred due immigration and dislocation.

My studio practice is about absence, using transitory and ephemeral mediums to approach absent things through an apophatic lens. Considering the absent thing in this way fosters attentiveness to the non-human worlds that populate our lives, revealing that when things go missing or lose their usefulness there is an indefinite loss – not only of the thing itself, but also of worlds and relationships that once surrounded the thing in question as an atmosphere of potentiality.– Jesica A.
