Opening reception Saturday April 15th, 1-4pm (artist in attendance)
Judith Zinkan began her art career attending the Fine Arts program at the University of Calgary, University of Houston and the Alberta College of Art in the 1970s. She completed many Emma Lake workshops with guest artists: John McLean, William Perehudoff, Patterson Ewen, Kenneth Noland, Doug Haynes, Terry Fenton, Robert Christie, Robert Shuebrook, Kim Dorland, David Alexander, from the 1970's to the 2000's. Her work can be found in many corporate and public collections across Canada.
Judith's still life and landscape works have evolved into an impressionistic style, where the perspective is illusive, and challenges the viewer into a sense of definition, through simplified shape, color and texture of the paint creating a complexity in the artwork.
We'll see you at the gallery for this delightful visual, palatable (chocolate), and interactive experience!
