The Ferry Building Gallery at 1414 Argyle Ave, West Vancouver is pleased to present EDGE & FORM, a mixed media exhibition showcasing artwork by Kathleen Ainscough, Majid Sheikh Akbari and Brian Buday.
Kathleen Ainscough works with a variety of media and techniques including free-motion machine embroidery, handmade papers, digital image transfer, mono printing, and stenciling with dyes and paints. Through his physical interpretations of the poetry and musings of Rumi, former civil engineer and now artist Majid Sheikh Akbari intends to redeliver the message that the 13th century poet once sought to share with the world. Brian Buday usually works in the abstract with acrylics and mixed media and will often incorporate found objects into his pieces.
Admission to the gallery is free. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
