Selfie and self-portrait: same thing? Are selfies expressions of shallow fantasies, or simply part of friendly conversation? 

Some say Robert Cornelius shot the first photographic selfie back in 1839, so the Golden Age of Selfies may be long gone. But we sure like making them.
