OPENING RECEPTION: Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
Something About Crucifixion explores themes of religious, sexual, and bodily trauma through the use of pop-surrealist inspired imagery. Balancing delicate techniques with visceral outcomes, Iraheta’s work is a raw, explicit embodiment of generational trauma.
Krissya Iraheta is an American-Canadian international visual artist and recent graduate of the University of Alberta's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design program. She received her Fine Art Diploma from MacEwan University in 2019 and is an alumnus of the NE Sculpture Gallery Factory artist residency in Minneapolis, MN.
