Laird Goulet and Holly Cheverie, “Whispers of the Wild,” 2024

Laird Goulet: In a world that is navigated by cell phone and computer information, it is sometimes hard to connect with nature. I find that sometimes we are pulled so far from nature that nature now surprises us. But we are human, we exist in the natural world, and we must remember that we can not exist without the bees and flowers. Nature will always tell who we are.  

Holly Cheverie: In this series, I wanted to celebrate the wildlife that is just outside our urban doorstep. Beyond mere representation, I strive to show the spirit and beauty of our wildlife through the use of color, texture, and composition. I hope that my paintings renew an appreciation for the wonders that surround us and encourage us to appreciate and protect our precious wildlife.
