Artwork delivery: Tuesday 3 December and Wednesday 4 December from 10am-6pm

Opening Reception: Saturday, 7 December from 7pm to 9 pm

This is a non-juried show+sale… you decide what you want to include!

The Victoria Arts Council (VAC) is pleased to host another installment of Little Gems at 1800 Store Street. This festive event kicks off the holiday season with works by a wide variety of local artists and artisans, including painting, drawing, ceramics, craft, jewelry, and photography. Just in time for holiday shopping and with all pieces priced $500 or under, there is a little gem for everyone.

Please note:

• Online registration for Little Gems 2019 ends 30 November
• Open to VAC members exclusively [membership dues can be paid at time of artwork delivery]
• Artwork delivery will take place Tuesday 3 December and Wednesday 4 December from 10am to 6pm

[no earlier / no later]

• All artwork MUST be labeled with: Artist Name; Title of Work; Medium; Price

[artworks not labeled completely will not be accepted, no exceptions]

• Maximum price of $500 per artwork
• VAC Members are encouraged to bring in up to 3 works presentation-ready

[no larger than 20 x 16 inches for 2-D works and 2 x 2 feet for 3-D works]

• Original Works: $10 display fee per work or 3 / $20
• Art Cards and Prints: $10 display fee for 10 items. (Note: please enter Art Cards or Prints as the title of your work, they will be considered one submission in the form below.)
• Jewelry: $10 display fee per item and 3 / $20. [Maximum of 3 jewelry items allowed]
• Once a work is sold, the artist will have the opportunity to replenish if they so desire
• Standard 25% commission to VAC | Payment to artists for sold work will take place by end of January 2020
• Pick-up of unsold work must take place Saturday 21 December between 3PM and 6PM [any remaining artwork will be subject to storage fees: $10 per day per item. VAC gallery and offices will be closed from 22 December 2019 – 7 January 2020.]

The VAC will be open daily during this special annual members show, and we will be seeking volunteers to help with installation, gallery-sitting, wrapping, and clean up.
