"Influenced by her background as a dancer, Nelson works with snapshots from her travels, choreographing bold gestures and careful observations into work that pays homage to 19th-century European painters such as Adolph von Menzel and Edouard Manet, as well as more recent artists like Cy Twombly." -- Galleries West Magazine
