Please join us for the opening reception, Thursday, June 7th, 7-9pm. Many of the artists will be in attendance and will be giving short talks on their work.
From the forced migration of political refugees to wildlife losing habitat due to human activity, The Fort Gallery’s 2018 Juried Exhibition contemplates loss of home and inquires into possibilities of creating a sense of hope.
Jurors reviewed 57 submitted pieces exploring this theme; 13 artworks created using a wide variety of mediums were selected. The included artists are: Alex Burton, Ranu Chakraborty, Jenny Hawkinson, Denise Holland, Edith Krause, Adriana Molina, Sarah Ronald, Betty Spackman, Laurel Vlieg and Sarah Wright.
