Marianne Meyer started out as a realistic painter, but soon wanted more freedom to express emotions and be able to throw around vibrant colours in wild experimentation. The resulting free, abstract composition was more to her liking. For Marianne, textures and images emerge spontaneously and encourage her to go further. Using acrylic paints, charcoal and art pencils, her work is usually a combination of sketches, drawings and layered paint.
