Paul Kuhn Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent paintings by Calgary artist, Mark Mullin. Mullin is known for his exhuberent colour and diverse mark making. This exhibition of four large paintings, a group of smaller paintings and some large works on paper does not disappoint. What is novel in this new body of work is the blatant and most often horizontal division of the canvas. Although this dichotomy establishes a stark relationship between two spatial zones, the paintings propose that a harmonious coexistance can be acheived between striking differences.
