Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, July 6 from 6 – 9 pm. Guests are invited vote for their favourite emerging artist until 8 pm, with the winner of “Viewer’s Choice” announced shortly thereafter. Please note: to accommodate the Viewer’s Choice award, purchased artworks on opening night will be available for pick-up after 8:30 pm. 

Art Rental & Sales Gallery at Art Gallery of St. Albert is excited to present the artwork of over 15 emerging Edmonton-area artists in a juried group show and sale - Materialize. This collection of two-dimensional works are created from a multitude of materials, such as digital drawing, spray paint, hand-pulled prints and more traditional oil on canvas paintings. Participating artists include; Erik Cheung, Mandy Gibb and Krista Hamilton. The full roster will be available after June 13. 

Not to confuse ‘emerging’ with young, Materialize is about artists on the precipice of significant professional recognition or growth. This nebulous status encompasses everyone from recent graduates to prolific producers. Materialize provides participating artists with exposure and connections to art supporters and collectors. 

This is a fabulous opportunity for new and long-term art collectors and appreciators alike to support artists in their professional development. All purchases are available to take home at time of sale.
