Doug Fraser was born in 1961, Lethbridge, Alberta. Following four years studying graphic design and illustration at the Alberta College of Art & Design, Fraser moved to New York, attaining an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. An award-winning illustrator for 29 years, Fraser's clients included The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Mother Jones, Motor Trend, IBM, NFL, NHL and Levis. In the 90s he moved to Calgary where he taught at his alma mater, ACAD.
Fraser now lives and works in Victoria, where he has developed a body of work linking artistic influences such as pop, abstract and figurative art with personal observations
