This exhibition is an arm-knitting installation inspired by themes of information overload and lost history.
Arm-knitting is used as a metaphor to explore the community impact of political radicalization, where scale, form, and symbols serve as representations of power. The artist traced entry points into radicalization through online and local communities that discussed the occult, new age spirituality, and natural living, noticing a common thread of decentralised or altered history. Nicole Mary's large-scale installations are physical manifestations of this manipulation; responding to questions about how community plays a role in radicalization and deradicalization.
