Nooks & Crannies Festival, 2019
The EXTENDED deadline for submission of exhibition proposals is Saturday, May 11, 2019, 11:59pm.
Nooks & Crannies Outdoor Art Festival
Nooks & Crannies is a festival where artists create temporary site-specific installations in downtown Okotoks. This ephemeral art festival sees artists repurpose and animate forgotten places with ‘forgotten’ materials, bringing public art to forgotten corners of downtown Okotoks. Individual artists and teams use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and titillate audiences.
Presented alongside Buskersfest, the inaugural Nooks & Crannies Festival opens June 22, 2019 with the art installations available for viewing until the end of August.
Artist categories include professional artists, accomplished artists, hobbyist artists, and youth artists, all of whom will be paid an honorarium.
All applications must be submitted electronically. Submission requirements and the application form can be found by visiting https://www.okotoks.ca/culture-heritage/cultural-events/nooks-and-crannies-festival
