Suzanne Northcott, Lloyd Clefstad and David Kimura wish to share with you art, craft, photography and the garden spaces between. The three Langley artists are showing work across multiple disciplines at the Fort Gallery, as well as its back garden and cedar studio.
Suzanne Northcott continues her exploration, through painting and textile, into forms and patterns emerging from the interaction of the one with the many. “The Space Between Birds” sparks a hopeful note of beauty.
After thirty years of cedar exports, Lloyd Clefstad’s appreciation of wood and simple designs are represented in a collection offering unique pieces of west coast hardwoods and softwoods. Expect functional, whimsical and repurposed – where the wood tells a story.
David Kimura will present “Imprints” – a series of photographs that capture various colours and states of decomposing, fallen leaves and the interaction on the background on which they rest. David’s sculpture garden connects the gallery spaces and the studio wood shop.
An open house event for Northcott Clefstad Kimura on Friday, Sept. 6th, 7pm, revives First Friday, a longstanding Fort Langley party tradition, and you are invited to join us for this celebration of community.
