pass on, pass off: Future Artists in Residence reveals a storytelling of grief and healing through archived memories of family, community lineage, and shared language. Through a diasporic recounting of intergenerational and cultural knowledge, our Future Artists explore their intimate histories in a lifelong journey to reconnect with their communities and collectively resist colonial disruption. In processing healing through chronic illness and familial loss, reclaiming intersectionality of gender and spirit, pass on, pass off weaves together community belonging, collective grieving, and land-based healing. This exhibition seeks to preserve ancestral knowledge against the erasure of language, family connection and cultural traditions, carrying memories as a vessel into the next generation.
We invite you to experience the collaborative works of Jasper, Joy, and Sarah; by collectively exchanging in dialogue and engaging with our artists in shared healing, resilience, and endurance.
Closing Celebration from 4-6pm.
