Patrick Amiot Studio Tour
to
Loch Gallery Calgary 314 12 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta T2R 0H2
Originally from Montreal and now living and working in Sebastopol, California, Patrick Amiot and Brigitte Laurent invite us on an intimate tour of their one-of-a-kind home and studio.
Described as an “urban folk artist” Patrick's ceramic and recycled junk metal sculptures range in subject matter reflecting his acute observation and sense of humour in our daily life. A passion for hockey, musicians, animals, quirky cars and trucks, fishermen and farmers, street scenes and interiors - all are subjects for Patrick. His partner Brigitte completes the sculptures with her fine brushwork and a sophisticated sense of colour.
Over the past two decades, Patrick has gained international notoriety for his unique large-scale sculptures made entirely from recycled materials. Sourcing materials that are destined for the dump or donated by local companies or community members, Patrick gives these objects new life as works of art.
