Paul Butler: The Collage Party
to
Graffiti Gallery 109 Higgins Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 0B5
Party Dates: 9 January 2020 7-11pm, 23 January 7 – 11 PM. 2020
The Collage Party invites the community to create, chat, and collage in this series of parties held at Graffiti Gallery. Collages made during these parties will be exhibited at the gallery throughout the show run.
As Paul Butler, creator of The Collage Party will not be in attendance, we invited local artists to lead the parties in Paul’s place. These artists will lead the group in a fun evening of collage and friends. Our artist lineup includes Meganelizabeth Diamond (Winnipeg Underground Film Festival, photo, collage), Todd Kowalski (bassist of Propagandhi, charcoal, oils), and The Weather Parade Dance Theatre. Each artist will bring elements of their own practice into the party, incorporating music, moving images, and dance. All of the artwork featured in the exhibition will be made throughout the run of the show, which will give community members a chance to exhibit their own work as well as build an evolving community voice into the show’s foundation.
Admission is free with donation of a non-perishable food item.
