Philip Kanwischer & Chloe Kinsella: Backgrounding

Kanwischer and Kinsella will be presenting a selection of their collaborative projects. Combining their individual material explorations and shared experiences of time spent in the wild, this show is made up of camouflaged forms against natural backdrops - playing with what imagery and information are culturally foregrounded and backgrounded surrounding time spent in nature. Commenting on problematic interactions between humans and non-humans and the illusion of being "one with nature", this body of work takes the form of large format photography, textile assemblage and life size sculpture.
