7th. Reel Art: Celebrating Yukon Cinema has been inspired by two major milestones: the 70th anniversary of the Yukon Theater and the 40th anniversary of the Yukon Film Society (YFS). The art show is timed to run during this year’s Available Light Film Festival.
The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of artworks, all created specifically to honor Yukon film. The participating artists – Neil Graham, Aimee Ellis, Susanne Hausermann, Donald Watt, Nicole Bauberger, Janet Patterson, Leslie Leong, Pat Bragg, and Marie-Hélène Comeau – have drawn inspiration from their own personal experiences with cinema, to create captivating and meaningful works.
