Unique approaches to abstraction and colour, and exceptional skill excite and move me. David Foxcroft and Robert Dmytruk bring it all in this exhibition.
Robert Dmytruk
Robert Dmytruk studied fine arts and education at the University of Alberta, and graduated with a degree in Art Education. Intrigued with the art making of the early 20th century artists Miro, Klee, Stella and Twonbly, Robert has developed a style that references the Cubist, Abstract Expressionist and Surrealist style of that time, that is distinctively contemporary.
Born in Edmonton, AB in 1950, Robert Dmytruk currently resides in Summerland, B.C where he has a full-time studio practice.
David Foxcroft
David Foxcroft's art is interesting, surprising, with unexpected twists and turns that provide a thoughtful and enduring visual experience.
His collage pieces are intricately constructed with a variety of materials and overlapping images. His paintings are expertly executed, stimulating a different perception of what we see.
Born in Calgary in 1953, David Foxcroft graduated from the Alberta College of Art in Fine Arts with a major in painting in 1977.
