Artists in conversation: Saturday 1 February @ 2PM
For the first time since it's inception, the Salt Spring Island National Art Prize is in Victoria!
The Salt Spring National Art Prize is a biennial competition and exhibition of Canadian visual art. The intent of SSNAP is to encourage artists whose practice demonstrates originality, quality, integrity and creativity—resulting in significant work with visual impact and depth of meaning.
Approximately 50 finalists were selected by an independent jury from across Canada to participate in the Finalists’ Exhibition on Salt Spring Island. The SSNAP show in Victoria offers art by each of the winners in numerous categories, as well as a special selection of work produced by Vancouver Island artists, including a few Victoria locals!
Please join us this Saturday (1 February @ 2PM) for an informal discussion with the artists from this region included in the SSNAP Winners show: Audie Murrary, Carol Narod, Donna Hall, Karin Millson, and Liam Topfer
