SKIES THE LIMIT celebrates Erica Hawkes' admiration for and close connection with the ever-changing Okanagan skies. From spring storms to winter sunsets, Erica depicts the many breathtaking views of the Okanagan Valley in a style she has called Nouveau 7, in which she borrow elements from the Group of Seven, and the beautiful flowing lines of the Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the century. Simplifying the landscape evokes emotion, and Erica lets the light between the clouds do the expressing. Show pieces will be online at www.lloydgallery.com as of May 25, 2017.
