Stories of Resilience: Community Collected Exhibition
How have you been creative during COVID-19? How has your creativity helped your emotional wellness? Please let us know!
artsPlace will be collecting submissions of art, created between March 2020 and the present, to showcase the many ways that this Bow Valley community has shown resilience through creativity.
Submissions of art will be accepted in person between Jan. 16 and Jan. 24.
Monday-Friday I 3 pm to 7 pm
Saturday & Sunday I 9 am to 1 pm
We are accepting a variety of art submissions including photography, painting, textile work, sculpture, pottery, stories, music recordings, videos etc.
This exhibition will exist both in our physical gallery space at artsPlace and also in an online exhibition. To include as many community participants as possible, please note that your submission may only appear in our online gallery.
If your artwork is larger than 3 cubic feet, please email a photo and description of your work to programs@artsplacecanmore.com before dropping it off in person. We may not be able to accommodate larger work in the gallery space.
If you have a flat work of art, such as a photograph or watercolour painting, we prefer that it is framed, but if you are unable to frame it, please contact programs@artsplacecanmore.com and we will consider other options. Wrapped canvases do not require frames.
artsPlace will only accept artwork that aligns with our core values of inclusivity, and respects differences in people, their ideas and opinions.
Stay tuned for more information about our virtual exhibition!
