organic, an intimate exhibition featuring Tess Michalik (New York, NY) and Chantal Dupas (Winnipeg, MB) is a mélange of Michalik's colorful, sumptuously layered oil floral paintings with Dupas' finely drawn and meticulously painted botanical illustrations. Pieces from the WAG's decorative arts collection will appear alongside the works of these two artists, helping to uncover another layer for study and dialogue with art history and contemporary design. This show visually illustrates influences of both scientific and decorative art, capturing the beauty in the organic natural world.
