TrépanierBaer and Feheley Fine Arts are delighted to present Textile Art From Arctic Canada: An Introduction. The exhibition features works by four Inuit artists including a lively wall hanging titled Celebration by the renowned Joy Kiluvigyuak Hallauk (1940-2000). Incorporating beads, caribou antler, and tanned caribou skin with embroidery, this outstanding mixed media work on felt appears three dimensional in its joyful expression of celebration and dance. Not to be missed.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday afternoon.
The exhibition runs concurrent with Glenbow Museum's Dynamic Connections: Threads Of Living Memory, curated by Joanne Schmidt.
