Featured in the Burnaby Art Gallery's Upper Gallery is artwork created by Burnaby senior secondary school students in the Burnaby Art Gallery’s annual career placement program, the Artist Apprenticeship Program. This program mentors students interested in pursuing a career in the fine arts and invites them to develop and curate an exhibition of their own works. In this year’s program, participants were asked to consider a theme and to select an inspiration piece from the gallery’s Permanent Art Collection. This exhibition features both their selected work from the collection and their creative responses.
