The Audain Art Museum’s (AAM) new Tuesday Night Talks (TNT) offer a unique opportunity for online participants to simultaneously enter the Museum and the artist’s studio or home during the evening, while learning about key works in the AAM’s Permanent Collection directly from their respective makers.
Hosted by the Museum’s Director & Chief Curator Dr. Curtis Collins, this eighth episode features Shawn Hunt, an artist of mixed Heiltsuk, French and Scottish ancestry who has exhibited his paintings, sculptures and jewelry throughout British Columbia. Hunt will be discussing his 2013 acrylic on canvas entitled Traditional Evolution. Raven Steals My Light which combines traditional Northwest Coast formline and storytelling practices to evoke a wry commentary on contemporary urban existence.
