The inspiration for these artworks stemmed from my previous work in the agriculture sector. I oversaw locating invasive plants and reporting them for removal. I struggled with the moral dilemma of understanding these plants can become invasive but also realizing they have a benefit if used in a medicinal manner. I am also inspired by native plant species we don’t see much anymore due to the overuse of herbicides and mowing of public spaces. My idea is to bring awareness to the beauty and fragility of these plants. I believe they can offer a glimpse into our past and our future.

This exhibition presents a series of works that reflect a deep emotional journey and a search for tranquility amid chaos. I aim to offer a visual escape by depicting women in serene settings - a space where viewers can find quiet contemplation. The works are a personal exploration of grief, healing, and the complexity of human emotion. They have a focus on the calm beauty that can emerge from life’s most difficult moments.
