The annual Vancouver Art Book Fair will take place July 4 to 6 at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver.
The longest-running international art book fair in Canada, it will feature 100 international and Canadian exhibitors — and of that, close to a third will be new this year. Admission is free.
The list of new participants includes Canada's Nothing New Projects, ODD ONE OUT from Hong Kong; and Homie House Press and Now Place, from the U.S.
And artist Hazel Meyer, who was longlisted for the 2025 Sobey Art Award, will make her first appearance at the festival, launching her new book, A Queer History of Joyce Wieland. Paige Gratland will be there with Queers’ Vernacular, which has been supported by the City of Vancouver Public Art Program, and Cathy Busby Projects will launch I WONDER: ART+CARE+DEMENTIA.
“VABF provides the opportunities for participants to talk directly with galleries, publishers, and fellow art enthusiasts to learn more about the world of artists’ publishing and find the next book or zine to add to their collection,” according to the news release.
“There will be everything from affordable, one-of-a kind DIY zines, to carefully curated museum publications.”
