Kathleen Prince New Owner Of The Avenue Gallery
Kathleen Prince has been named as the new owner of The Avenue Gallery in Victoria, BC.
Prince, who has worked at the gallery since 2014 and been the manager of the gallery since 2022, holds a bachelor of arts and master of arts in History in Art from the University of Victoria.
She takes over the gallery ownership from Larry Wheeler, who assumed ownership after the death of his wife, Heather Wheeler, the gallery’s founder.
“My commitment to The Avenue Gallery, to honouring Heather’s legacy, and to supporting both our artists and the team has always been at the heart of my work,” says Prince.
“I will lead the gallery forward with the same care, vision, and dedication that have guided me from the beginning.”
Founded in 2002, The Avenue Gallery is located in Oak Bay Village in Victoria and represents a range of artists working in painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewelry.
